“The Old Skins of the New Snake” Nominated for Pushcart

Good morning,

2016…what the eff?

A Trump Presidency? A slew of important people dying? A.S. Coomer being nominated for a Pushcart Prize?

What’s next? A semi-robotic mannequin takeover of Earth?

Shit is getting crazy out there, folks, and it’s getting crazier by the second…as in I’ve been nominated for a second Pushcart Prize. This time for a poem (The Old Skins of the New Snake) I wrote that the good people at Red Fez were so kind to publish back in February (Issue 86). Doc Sigerson, Editor-in-Chief of all things Fezzy, announced it via Facebook on Tuesday.

Big thanks to Head Poetry Editor, Poet-King-of-the-Underground & Overall-Good-Dude, Michael D. Grover (who’s got a nice little poetry letter to Trump you should read &share).

Whew. There’s no telling what’s in store for 2017.
