Afternoon,
My short story, More Rust than Nickel, is out now in Issue 14 of Serving House Journal.
Warning: it’s the kind of story that might fuck your day up. It’s difficult, ugly, and–sadly–a portrait of too many Americans today: stuck living inside their heads in a past varnished with another coat of fool’s gold with each faulty, self-fulfilling misremembering.
There’s usually quite a bit of ugly truth in cautionary tales.
Enjoy.
