New Poem in The Heartland Review

We lost a good one when we lost Bernie Davenport. He was a drummer, an artist, & gentle human. He was also Art Editor for The Heartland Review, a print literary journal from The Heartland Review Press, based out of Elizabethtown Community & Technical College. The latest issue of THR includes a special section devoted to Bernie and his impact on our community. I’ve got a Poem in this issue called “losing the long game” which is dedicated to Bernie. Mick Kennedy, a good friend to both Bernie and me, has a wonderful song in the issue called “Medicine Man” about Bernie.

There’s a ton of other writing and art in THR. You can pick up a copy on Amazon for a measly $7.

Big thanks to Editor in Chief Amy Fox-Angerer for her work with the review and for keeping Bernie’s memory alive through this issue.
